The finishing process at Precision Steel Works, LLC starts with proper metal preparation and cleaning. When required, surfaces are sanded with orbital sanders and then wiped clean. Any areas needing protection are then masked to protect them from unwanted painting or over-spray. Parts or assemblies are then covered with a coat of metal primer and baked for drying. The customer’s specified paint and color are then applied and the paint is again baked for quicker drying time. The process is then repeated to add a second or third color of paint per the customer’s specifications.

Significant to the success and quality of our finishing work is Precision Steel Works state-of-the-art paint booth. This booth has a high ceiling to allow the painting of ATM kiosks, enclosures and other tall products. The computerized controls allow for painting year round in a controlled environment. These controls provide an efficient baked-on finish for greater durability. Our painters are trained to provide a variety of paint finishes from smooth to textured and from satin to high gloss. They are also proficient at spraying automotive or industrial grade paints as well.
